Dr. Armando José Morales is a distinguished Venezuelan physician and neurosurgery specialist. He has an outstanding medical background, having graduated in the 10th position of his class with five academic awards from the Universidad de los Andes in 1986. Subsequently, he earned his degree as a Neurosurgery Specialist at the Hospital Pérez Carreño of the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1994, achieving magna cum laude honors and receiving an award for his published thesis.

Areas of Specialty and Focus:

  • His primary areas of focus include neurovascular care, neurotrauma, and minimally invasive neurological techniques.

  • He is an expert in pain management, with specialized training in ozone therapy in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  • He holds a Master's degree in Stem Cells and Cellular Therapy from the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), obtained in 2017.

Clinical Experience and Leadership:

  • Currently, he serves as the Director of the San Antonio Neuroscience and Pain Management Center in Coro, Falcón State, a position he has held since 2013.

  • He works as a Consultant at the Virgen de Guadalupe Clinic.

  • He served as a Specialist at the Regional Cardiovascular, Neurovascular, and Spinal Center of the Van Grieken University Hospital from 2002 to 2018.

Continuous International Training:

Dr. Morales has complemented his specialization with rigorous international programs and fellowships:

  • Brazil: Advanced training and master's in skull base, white matter surgery, and microneurosurgery techniques at ICNE - Hospital Beneficencia Portuguesa in Sao Paulo.

  • United States: Master course at Cedars and the University of Miami in 1997.

  • Europe: Training in spinal endoscopic approaches in Bad Homburg, Germany, in 2005, and percutaneous spinal discolysis with oxygen-ozone at the Hospital de Fátima in Seville, Spain, in 2005.

Teaching and Investigative Work:

  • He has a strong educational vocation, having been a professor of anatomy and neurology at the National University Rehabilitation Center in Caracas between 1994 and 1996.

  • He is an active speaker at the national and international levels, having presented his research and clinical experience at conferences in Venezuela, Colombia, and Bolivia.

  • He is fluent in three languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
